Trekking Route : Delhi – Shimla – Sarahan – Sangla – Kalpa – Tabo – Kaza – Keylong – Manali – Delhi
Day 01 : Delhi
On arrival in Delhi. Meet our representative at the airport then you will be transferred to hotel. In the morning go for the city tour of Old Delhi, visit Jama Masjid, Chandhi Chowk, Red Fort and Raj ghat. In the afternoon visit President House, Parliament, Qutab Minar, India Gate, Birla Temple and Humayuns Tomb. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 02 : Delhi- Shimla (340 Km, 7 Hours)
In the morning we drive to Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh, Shimla abounds in natural bounty and looks picture perfect. This hill station is surrounded by lakes and lush green pastures amidst the lofty snow-clad Himalayan ranges. Reach Shimla and check in at hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight stay.
Day 03: Shimla
In the morning visit Kufri, that is a 30 Minutes drive from Shimla, located at a height of 2,510 meters above sea level. Kufri is a small picturesque hill station that offers stunning views, beautiful locales, and serene ambience. The captivating beauty of Kufri will enchant you with its must see attractions and adventure activities. Later visit Jakhoo hills which offer panoramic view of Shimla town. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 04: Shimla – Sarahan (180 Km, 7 Hours)
Drive to Sarahan, it is the whole day drive via Narkanda and Rampur and then reach Sarahan. The unparalleled beauty of the landscape and the stunning backdrop of the Srikhand Mahadev Peak make Sarahan a memorable place. Here, you will find a mixture of Hindus and Buddhist architecture and visit ancient temple of Bhimakali. Overnight stay in camp or guest house.
Day 05: Sarahan – Sangla (75 Km, 3 Hours)
In the morning, drive via Karchham and reach Sangla, which is the prettiest valley in Himachal Pradesh, it is located in the Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh. Sangala means “pass of light” In Tibetan, which refers to the valley receiving sunlight during the day. Spread over an area of over 40 km, it’s a magnificent sight to behold. Snow clad mountains surround you and you get to see the Kinner Kailash peak.Overnight in camp.
Day 06: Sangla – Kalpa (50 Km, 2 Hours)
Drive from Sangla to Kalpa (2759 Metres). Kalpa, in the Sutlej River Valley is a place known for beautiful temples and monasteries is the main village of Kinnaur, this town is also famed for its apple orchards. The splendid Kinnaur-Kailash range glimpse from across the Sutlej River makes for a blissful break. Overnight in camp.
Day 07: Kalpa – Tabo (150 Km, 6 Hours)
In the morning, departure for Tabo (3050 meters). Tabo Monastery is one of the eminent monasteries in Lahaul and Spiti Valley and was founded more than a millennium back in 996 A.D. It is also known as the Ajanta of the Himalayas, this ancient structure stands on the barren, cold, and rocky desert of the Tabo valley at a dizzying height of 3050 meters above sea level. This untouched beauty has preserved the glorious heritage, traditions, and culture of Buddhism through the passage of centuries. The monastery contains large number of wall paintings & pieces of art. Overnight stay in camp.
Day 08: Tabo – Kaza (50 Km, 2 Hours)
Leave for Kaza and on the way visit Dankar Gompa. The spectacular 1200-year-old Dhankar Gompa is perched quite unbelievably between weather-beaten rocky peaks on the edge of a cliff at an altitude of 12,774 feet. Gompa is nestled on a beautiful site. It offers panoramic view of the Spiti valley at the confluence of Spiti and Pin Rivers. Continue drive to Kaza (3600 metres) the largest township in Lahaul and Spiti Valley in Himachal Pradesh, Kaza boasts of high snow capped mountains, crystal clear rivers and streams interspersed with patches of green. In the afternoon visit Ki Monastery which is the biggest and oldest Monastery in Spiti. It enshrines idols of Buddha in Dhyana position and also has a collection of ancient books and murals. Situated at a height of 4112 meters, this Monastery was built in the 14th century and its architecture is influenced by Chinese style. Overnight in camp.
Day 09: Kaza – Keylong (185 Km, 7 Hours)
Drive to Kunzumla pass (4590 meters), highest pass on Spiti- Lahaul road at an elevation of 4.590 m (15,059 ft) above the sea level, located on the eastern Kunzum Range. It is one of India’s highest motorable mountain passes. It’s the highest point of the Spiti valley road. The lofty Shigri Glacier is seen in front in all its magnificence. Then drive to Khokhsar. It is desolate and regarded as the coldest place in Himachal Pradesh. Finally reach Keylong, the capital of Lahaul and Spiti. There are numerous monasteries and temples to explore here. Visit the town. Overnight stay in camp.
Day 10 :Keylong- Manali (115 Km, 5 Hours)
In the morning drive to Manali, visit Rohtang pass (3978 meters) on the way. Here, one sees the majesty of the mountains at its height and splendour. Then another 51 Km of drive will take you to Manali, it is surrounded by massive snow clad mountains and thick pinewood forests. Manali has the twisty Beas River as its magnificent centrepiece. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 11: Manali
In the morning visit Manali which is circled by flowering horse chestnuts and beautiful glades of deodars. On the way visit Hadimba Temple, a four-story wooden temple is located in the middle of a forest. In the afternoon visit Naggar (1760 meters). It is located on a wooden slope and commands an extensive view. It was the capital of erstwhile Kulu state for about 1400 years. Here, visit Roerich art gallery which houses the paintings of Nicholas Roerich as well as his sculptures. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 12: Manali – Delhi (50 Km, 2hours + By Flight – 1 ½ Hours)
In the morning transfer to airport to catch flight to Delhi. Arrive at Delhi airport and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day is free for shopping or relax. Overnight stay.
Day 13 : Delhi
Morning transfer to airport to board flight for onward destination.
