DAY
01 : DELHI :
Arrival at New
Delhi. Welcome at the airport and transfer to hotel. In the afternoon
tour of Old Delhi. It is a 17th Century walled city with its splendid
gates, narrow alleys, the enourmous Bazar. Also visit Raj Ghat, the memorial
of Gandhi. Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY
02 : DELHI - LEH : ( BY FLIGHT )
Morning breakfast
at the hotel and then transfer to airport to catch flight for Leh. On
arrival at Leh airport meeting with our representative and transfer to
hotel. Lunch at the hotel. Complete day free for rest to get acclimatize
with the high altitude in Leh ( Ladakh ) which is 3500 mtrs above sea
level. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY
03 : LEH :
Morning breakfast at the hotel and then visit Shankar Gompa on foot which
takes about half an hour. Afternoon visit King's Palace and Tsemp Gompa
from where you can have nice and beautiful pictures of Leh Bazaar. Dinner
and overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY
04 : LEH- ALCHI- ULETOKPO ( 75 KMS ) :
Morning after breakfast leave for Uletokpo camping which is one of the
most beautiful camping in the Ladakh region on the way visit Spituk Monastery
which is just 5 kms from Leh town. Continue drive to Alchi monastery is
the only monastery in the Ladakh on flat ground. By the lunch time you
will reach Uletokpo. Evening enjoy to sit on the bank of river coming
down from the Ridzong side. Overnight stay at camp.
DAY
05 :ULETOKPO-LAMAYURU-LEH :
Leave Uletokpo and continue drive to Lamayuru via Khaltsi. From here another
22 Kms drive will take you to Lamayuru. The oldest and spectacularly set
Lamayuru monastery founded in the 10th Century. Visit the monastery. Late
afternoon drive back to Leh which will take about 4/5 hours. On the way
back stop at magnetic hill. Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY
06 : LEH - KHARDONGLA PASS-LEH ( 85 KMS ) :
Morning breakfast at the hotel and then full day excursion to Khardongla
pass which is the highest motorable pass in the world 5600 Mtrs and has
been recorded in the Gunnies book of world records. At the Top enjoy the
nature beauty of snow capped mountain. In the evening back to the hotel.
Overnight stay.
DAY
07 : LEH- PANGONG LAKE :
Morning breakfast at the hotel and then leave for Pangong Lake through
Changla pass 5486 Mtrs. While ascending Changla pass 5486 mtrs. Enjoy
the beautiful panoramic view of the vilages below the pass. After crossing
the pass halt for picnic lunch at Tsoltak, The summer pastureland of the
yaks. Arrive Durbuk and from there a short drive takes you to the western
shore of the lake. On arrival check in at the camps. Visit the Pangong
lake famous blue brackish 5/6 kms wide and over 144 Kms long with half
of its running the other side of the INDO CHINA BORDER One rarely feels
so close to nature and environment and the scenery is unforgettable. Overnight
stay in Tents.
DAY
08 :PANGONG - LEH :
IMorning drive back to Leh. On arrival check in at the hotel. Rest of
the day at leisure. Overnight stay a the hotel.
DAY
09 : LEH - DELHI :
Morning breakfast at the hotel and then transfer to airport to catch flight
for Delhi. On arrival meeting with our representative at the airport and
transfer to Hotel. Afternoon city tour of New Delhi which is in complete
contrast with Old Delhi with wide tree lined avenues,parks and fountains
surrounding the imposing Goverment and State Buildings. Visit Humayun's
Tomb, an observatory called Jantar Mantar, Qutub Minar, India Gate and
President House. Overnight stay.
DAY
10 : DEPARTURE
:
Morning transfer to International airport to catch flight for onwards
destination.
